For Thanksgiving at the kids' school they really focus on teaching about the Pilgrims and the Indians in 1st and 2nd grade. Then on the last day before break they have stations set up in the classrooms and all morning the kids get to make things relating to what they've been learning about. They make a model of the mayflower, and candles, and butter, and all sorts of other interesting things and then conclude with a feast. The kids all dress up and it really is a fun day of remembering the 1st Thanksgiving.
