Oregon

I was in Oregon for the past couple of days spending time with my family and remembering my Dad.  He passed away a year ago last Friday, hard to believe.  Anyway, it was great to be together on this special day and great to get out on the dairy with the boys.  I wouldn't say the dairy is the most important part of the legacy my Dad left behind but it is definately a special part and I'm so thankful that Robert and Ryan are able to keep running it and that Sadie is now getting to experience this part of my childhood and something my Dad really loved and was good at.  So many memories of my Dad involve the dairy in some way and so although it's not the same and never will be without him, it was sweet to spend time there this past weekend.

Also, if you notice Sadie's very stylish farming attire that's thanks to her uncles who though she needed a genuine Carhartt jacket and Georgia Boots.  Thanks Uncle Ryan and Uncle Robert!
We're still learning how to be gentle.  Poor kitty and poor Wyatt if this is any sign of how she's going to try to treat her new little brother.

Happy Halloween!

We spent Halloween at our church's Great Pumpkin Bash.  It's really more for older kids but we had fun dressing up and seeing all the other kids in their costumes.  Sadie on the other hand wasn't sure if she liked all the costumes but she loved wearing hers.  Seriously, Grandma gave it to her about a month ago and whenever she sees it in her closet she points and points until I get it down and then she drags it all around the house.  She also loved the balloons at the church and running around hitting them with Daddy.  Those two are trouble sometimes.  I don't even try to keep up!
