Happy 9th Birthday Sadie

How is it possible that we have a 9 year old?!?! I really cannot believe it's already been 9 years since she made us parents for the first time.

There are so many things to love about Sadie.  She is by far my biggest helper, always willing to do whatever I need, and for that this busy Momma is sooo thankful!  There are so many times when she gets her little sisters up and dressed for me, or entertains them while I make dinner, or helps them buckle into the car, or just calms them down when they are fussy. She is also a great big sister and her little sisters especially adore her!  She loves to pretend and play baby with them and really she's the ring leader of the whole Troyer gang and most of the time that works out great.  She love's it and so do they.  She is also funny and inquisitive and confident.  She's a rule follower yet she doesn't seem to worry that much about what others think at school or wherever.  She is who she is and we love her confident, march to her own beat attitude.  She is also a major collector of Beanie Boos as you will see.

September 2018

Here are a few fun moments worth remembering from September.

We introduced Farley to Nutella and she liked it :)

Mommy got new rain boots that just happened to fit Hazel.

We attended the Sublimity Harvest Festival.

Uncle Robert got a new Charcoal lab, Roxy!

We continued to enjoy beautiful weather and harassing the dog.  I promise these two deserve each other.

Brandon got tickets to a Beavers game which Evie and I were able to attend with him.

I think we wore her out just a little.

Puppies

Zoey had her first litter of puppies this past Fall and all in all it was a really good experience.  Daddy and Mommy were ready to send them on their way after 10 weeks of feeding and cleaning, but I definitely think we will do it again.  The puppies were so cute and the kids just LOVED it, especially Hazel.

Zoey was a good Mama!  All together she had 8 puppies, 6 females and 2 males, and we lost just 1 a few days in.  Once they were a little bit older we put collars on them and the kids had fun naming them.  The 2 males were Jace and Bolt.  The females were Pickles, Mimi, Pie in the Face, Baby Junior, and Roxy.

Unfortunately this is what often happens when you tell her that time is up and she needs to give the puppies a little break.

By the end when it was time to send the puppies on their way they were literally almost too heavy for the kids to carry.
