Surviving September

Well we've made it through our first month of school.  The kids are adjusting well to their classes.  Wyatt has had a much easier time adjusting to the full days than Sadie did and Sadie is really liking her teacher this year which is wonderful.  Besides being in school this month we also had the opportunity to attend the Sublimity Harvest Festival with Zuidemas.  They sponsor a monster truck and gave us tickets to join them which was so fun.  So we attended a BBQ at their place prior where we were able to check out the truck and then on Friday evening we drove out to watch.

Uncle Robert took us to ride the new carousel in Albany.

Another major milestone this month was potty training Hazel!!!!  She was actually really easy which was such a blessing.  So funny how they are all different.  I expected it to be a struggle as many things with her are, but she took to it no problem and within a week was good day and night!  The older kids have decided that it's because of her blonde hair.  Apparently blondes like Hazel and Wyatt potty train easily and its much harder if you have brown hair like Cooper and Sadie.  I'm not so sure about that theory but I love how they support each other and recognize that whats easy for one may not be for another.  Sadie has been super encouraging with Cooper who is still working on the night time training and Cooper has been a great sport as well.  Anyway, so while the older 3 were at AWANA's we took Hazel to pick out her potty training prize.  She chose a Minnie Mouse cash register. :)
