Cooper is 5!

Cooper is 5 and man has he grown up a lot this year.  He is such a smart and funny guy!  He loves puzzles, and legos, and Mario, and books.  He is easy going and loves to learn.  We've been working on learning his letters and sounds so that he will be ready for Kindergarten and he is whizzing right through.  In a lot of ways I think he would have been ready to go to school this year, but I'm loving this extra bit of time with him especially the couple of hours in the afternoon while the girls nap, and its just me and Cooper.  We've never really had that time as he's right in the middle of our crew, and he's a good sport about it, but it's been so fun to have a chance to just spend some time with him.
Cooper loves his little sisters but also loves playing with Sadie and Wyatt and is getting pretty good at keeping up.  In fact, there have been quite a few occasions where we've had to stop and remind ourselves that he is 2 years younger than Wyatt.  Most of the time he acts older than he is.  He's flexible and smart and articulate, but we've noticed especially after an active weekend of keeping up with Sadie and Wyatt this guy is worn out and honestly that's okay with us.  We love it that he still has a little bit of little left in him.  We also love his brown eyes, his soft hair, his smile and the way he giggles when Daddy say, "Hi my name is Daddy"  whenever anyone says "I'm Full" quickly followed by "Hi my name is Cooper! Hi my name is Cooper!" to everyone around.

Daddy has started a tradition of going into work late on the kids' birthdays and running out early to get them doughnuts.  Yummy!!

Cooper loves hidden pictures.

We also got him a subscription to highlights magazine and some legos to add to his collection.

They couldn't wait to get started building the new lego set.

Cooper went birthday shopping with Grammy and picked out this 544 piece Ninjago dragon.  He worked on it for almost 2 days but built it by himself!
