Brandon took Wyatt on his field trip to the State Capitol at Christmas time. They got to tour the capital, listen to the school choir sing, and perform the 12 days of Christmas.
Wyatt and Cole
In March Sadie participated in the talent show. I was really nervous for her but she did awesome! I asked her the day before if she wanted to practice a little more and she said "no I got it!" So I thought to myself okay well I guess you gotta let them live and learn. Thankfully this time it worked out just fine for her and I learned she's much braver than her Momma.
Sadie's cheering section!
Sadie's class studied Colonial Williamsburg and each was assigned to learn about a different trade. Then to wrap up the unit they set up shops and were able to go around and talk to the other students and even buy, sell, and trade goods. Sadie was a Milliner and she made fashionable clothing as well as sold fine accessories such as ribbons, lace, and jewelry. She made some hair ties and bracelets to trade and did very well!
In May we enjoyed watching Wyatt perform in the 1st grade patriotic program. The kids and Mrs. Andersson worked really hard learning about the founding of our nation.
We also enjoyed watching the kids perform in their Spring musical "Star Quest" in May.
Also in May Cooper and I attended a field trip with Wyatt to OMSI. Wyatt had a great time but Cooper LOVED it. He was totally into all the robots and spent forever at the table where you can build your own.
Brandon also braved a field trip to Newport with Sadie's 2nd grade class. They took the bus and spent the whole day exploring at the Hatfield Marine Science Center and then at the beach.
Daddy had SOOOOO much fun riding the bus!
And so did our little Chimp.
