Moss Stone Retreat

When our old dairy in Laveen, Arizona finally sold we decided to invested the money in some rental houses here in Salem and also in a vacation rental in Caldera Springs which is just outside of Bend, Oregon.  We are thankful to Caleb for all the work he did with this.  He took care of almost all of the details, walked all the properties, found management companies, did repairs, and constantly communicated with all 6 of us.  We really have him to thank for this great house and hope that we will be able to make lots of fun family memories here.  Anyway, before it goes on the market we had a chance to try it out and were so glad we did.  The kids loved the pool and the house was beautiful.  It has 6 bedrooms and a bunkroom which we completely pack out but it was great!

The Twinnies got lots and lots of attention this weekend.

And so did Harper.  The little girls especially just LOVE her!

Caleb bought a bunch of games for the house which the kids loved.

The kids got to try out kayaking thanks to Daddy and their Aunts.

We made it out to the pool quite a few times.

We also took some nice walks and enjoyed the beautiful weather and scenery.

These two are so smiley these days!

We had a lot of fun hanging out together but man do we miss the man that made this whole thing possible.  I often think of Dad in these moments.  It feels like he's been gone so long and yet I really can still hear his laughter and feel the warmth of his embrace and the clarity and sense of belonging he brought to my life.  I know I speak for all of us when I say we'll never get over missing him and that we will always be thankful for who he was and for all the blessings we have because of him, especially the blessing of each other.   Though we're all different I love that we all have pieces of him in us and that it makes us the family that we are.
