Football is definitely a theme this year. The boys love all things football and since Cooper already did a football field cake Wyatt chose a football cake with cupcakes in the colors of 2 of his favorite teams. For school it was the Oregon Ducks and for his party at home it was the Tennessee Titans.
Mommy was not on her A game today and had to frost these cupcakes twice because the first time she forgot to add sugar to the whip cream and then she proceeded to drop her phone in the toilet not once but twice. Shockingly I was actually able to retrieve birthday pictures before it completely died the next day.
I don't even know what to think about this song but there is no stopping it. It has become a permanent part of the birthday shenanigans.
Wyatt,
Happy birthday bud! We can't believe you are already 9!!! There are so many times when we look back and miss your little blonde head but we are also so proud of you and the young man you are becoming. You are one of the most passionate members of this family and always have been, and you are also one of the most tenderhearted. You are constantly thinking of others and you give the very best hugs. You also have lots to say. Your teachers say that you are always willing to offer ideas and solutions for every problem that arises. After school you mostly want to talk about the playground. You've had your share of battles out there this past year, but you are really learning a lot about being a team player and about having fun rather than always making everything so intense. You still have a ways to go, as you definitely have strong ideas about the way things should be done and a very strong sense of justice in all things, but I believe and pray that as you grow God will use this for His Kingdom as you learn which battles to fight. I see you being a fierce protector of the vulnerable, a loyal friend, and an enthusiastic participant in all that life brings your way. We love you and are so thankful for you!
Love,
Daddy and Mommy
