What's the Opposite of a Green Thumb?

Well whatever it is, that's us.  We have had more trouble with our lawn than anything else around our house.  Initially we let our lawn die because as new homeowners we were shocked at the expense of watering our large corner lot lawn.  We then planted something that was suppose to be more drought tolerant and hardy, which at the time sounded like a great idea.  Unfortunately it didn't work out so well because we also have a lot of trees, which equals shade, which apparently equals this particular lawn really struggling.  So once again this past summer we found ourselves starting over.  After months of a brown lawn we began planting a new one at the end of September and now we once again drive up to a green lawn, which makes us, and I'm sure our neighbors happy!

Here's Brandon rototilling our dead lawn.
Wyatt, Hershey, and Sadie helped replace a few sprinklers...
Sawyer helped rake up what the rototiller left behind...
And then it was time to clean up.
The following weekend the lawn was seeded.
And now look at our great new lawn.  We have our fingers crossed that it stays green now without putting us into to much debt. :)
 Inspecting their hard work.
By the way,  if you stop by on a Saturday morning this is the yard crew you'll find working in our front yard and if you like what you see we should mention that the littlest two and the dog, if you'd like her, are available for hire.
