Monster Trucks and Cinderella

We typically stick to doing stuff all together as a family but this spring the boys had a chance to attend a monster truck rally with Daddy and their Uncles and the girls and I attended a Cinderella play with Grammy and their Aunts.

Monster Trucks

Like father like son!

Cinderella
Hazel may or many not have been confused most of the time wanting to know when the movie was going to start :)

Cabin Fever

We always start to go a little crazy about the end of February.  I don't really mind the rain too much, but it does keep us indoors more than we'd like mostly because I get tired of all the wet clothes.  So, we find indoor activities to keep us busy as much as we can.

Projects from Cooper's Highlights magazine.

Homemade Playdough

Forts

Lots of reading and library days.

Playdate with Cousins

Uncle Robert

Lots of goofing around.

Running in the house normally earns the kids their mud boots and laps around the house, but sometimes an exception has to be made.  Desperate times...

Snow Day

The kids got money from Brandon's family for Christmas and we decided that instead of buying more toys we were going to use it for some family outings.  Our first was trying out the the snowtubing park at Mt Hood.  It was a great day.  It snowed on us a lot of the time but the kids didn't complain at all about being cold.  We did leave Evie with Auntie Kendy, but the rest came and had a blast!

Sadie

Hazel liked playing in the snow but wasn't so sure about the whole tubing thing.

Everything went so well until it was time to head home.  On the trip home we discovered a mile down the road that we'd lost one of our chains.  We returned and found it but in the process got stuck in a snow bank in the parking lot.  It took a few tries and a great amount of frustration before we were back on the road again only to find out that the highway was completely stopped.  It was stopped like no on going anywhere, people out of their cars, STUCK!!!!  It took us a very long time to get home and to top it off as Brandon was out finally taking the chains off of the van a car full of teenagers drove by and they were throwing snowballs at the folks removing chains.  Maybe not the best idea when people have been stuck in traffic for hours, just saying....

Country Life

Here are our miracle kittens all alive and well and ready for their new homes.  We decided to keep the only little female of the bunch, one of the tabby kittens which Sadie named Pearl.

Uncle Robert has had a lot of baby goats born the past few weeks.  We love our little goats but the floppy ears on his are to die for.

We didn't do any lambs this year but its fun to see them over at the farm.

Hazel loves helping Daddy and Uncle Ryan in the calf barn on Sundays.

Hazel LOVES playing with her cousin Carter and I love the videos Daddy sends me from the barn!  Carter really is the absolute CUTEST and together its just more cuteness than I can handle!!!

We sent our lambs off shortly after we got the goats.  While these guys were fun when they were little and did a good job of mowing down the pasture, they really are pretty dumb animals not to mention big.  A few of these guys kept wanting to butt Hazel and Evie when they were out saying hi to the goats and that didn't go over well with their Daddy.  So goats it is!

We actually tried to keep Joe Yoshi Bowser.  He was our favorite and we thought maybe he'd make friends with the goats, but he just wasn't happy without his buddies and became even more of a bother to the girls.

We aren't afraid to get dirty over here although the mud is starting to drive me a little crazy.  Like could you at least wear the same clothes every time you decide to play in the mud?!?  Daddy helped them dam up the water so now they have their very own little pond or giant puddle however you want to look at it.  Thank you so much!
