Flowers

So I made these cute headbands and flowers a couple of days ago and thought they turned out great. Such a fun and easy project! The headband itself is made from baby tights and I used the tutorial here: http://littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot.com/2010/08/easy-stretchy-baby-headband-tutorial.html and the flower is made from satin fabric or ribbon which you cut and then melt with a candle. I used the tutorial here: http://rhonnadesigns.blogspot.com/2010/05/one-more-diy-fabric-flower-tutorial.html . The white flower is made from ribbon and the pink from fabric.

Side Jobs

Today I am especially thankful for my husband who is willing to work hard all week and still pick up a side job here and there so that I can stay home with Sadie.

A Big Sister?

That's right Sadie is going to be a Big Sister! Baby #2 is due January 22nd and we are looking forward to finding out if it will be a girl or boy sometime next month. We'll keep you posted!

Visitors!

This week my friend Shawna and her daughter Cassandra came out to visit us from Arizona. We had a great time catching up and it was so fun to watch the girls get to know one another and learn to play together. What a blessing old friends are :)

Memorial Day

Memorial Day proved to be a beautiful day here in Southern California and on these first days of summer who can resist a trip to the beach. Afterall, there are few better ways to welcome the summer. Sadie had a great time and was even brave enough to stand pretty close to the water. However, as soon as her feet got wet it was a different story. She, like her mommy, doesn't seem to care for the cold water much. Anyway, we had a great time but I think that this is the last time we'll be hanging out on the blanket because in the past 2 days our little bug has learned how to crawl.
