School Festivities

It's always fun getting to participate in some of the kids' activities at school and there are lots to choose from this time of year.

At Thanksgiving time I attended Cooper's feast.

Late November Sadie's class took a field trip to Zac's Tree Farm.  We even got to see a helicopter carrying trees to be loaded, tagged, and sent to a variety of states.

Just before Christmas break Evie, Hazel, and I bounced from room to room catching bits and pieces of all three of the older kids' Christmas parties.

Cooper's 6th Birthday

Happy 6th Birthday Cooper!  Cooper is our brown hair brown eyed boy.  He's smart, sweet, easy going, silly, and all around just easy to love.  He has really grown up so much this year.  He loves to read, play Lego's with Wyatt, do puzzles, school, and the many new friends he's made.  Cooper you consistently make us so proud of you and we love you very very much.

Cooper's Party at School

Daddy had to be gone for Cooper's birthday this year so we started our celebration at Grammy's house and the did a second party with Daddy the following weekend.

Uncle Robert calls Cooper "Splash" because he always slams the toilet lid at Grammy's house and Robert asks him if he fell in which he finds hilarious.

After birthday cake we watched the new Incredibles movie.

Stinky Glen also joined us on Cooper's Birthday.  Here's to baby goats this Spring!!

Twins?!?!?!

So funny story....
I feel like ever since we found out we were expecting #6 there have been jokes about twins.  Uncle Robert wishes it on us, and everyone else he knows, literally every time just because he thinks twins are so cute and even Auntie Kendra wished it on us this time.  In addition to Aunts and Uncles we also had a conversation at Grammy's house one night where Sadie was wishing for twins and Daddy told her how terrible that would be.  I tried to warn him that God has a sense of humor but he didn't listen.  Anyway, so after much joking about this and even thinking the morning of my first appointment that if Robert had connections with a doctor he would try to trick me you can imagine my utter disbelief when I was informed that there was not 1 but 2 babies.  Brandon has come to all my first appointments but this time I assured him that it was fine for him to miss and that I would try to video the heartbeat assuming that at this point these appointments were very much routine.  Little did I know!

Telling the Kids

It's all really surreal and in all honesty a lot to take in.  I think Brandon did better than me initially.  I just couldn't quite get my mind around the whole thing and it took me a little while to fully embrace this adventure.

Happy 2nd Birthday Evie!

And just like that our baby is 2!  Evie is just the sweetest thing.  She's communicating more and more and she just loves her big sisters and brothers.  She's good at playing by herself or with the others and Mommy and Daddy just love her silly personality which seems to be coming out more and more every day.  She continues to have a special bond with Cooper, I think they are a lot alike and just kinda get each other, and she's all about being a big girl.  Evie Rose we love you so very much!  Happy Birthday Little One!

When you're grandkid number 9 you get lots of attention/help opening your presents.

A BIG Announcement!

When the kids turn 2 Grammy always treats them to their very own build-a-bear.  The older kids love this tradition too because they get to pick out a new outfit for their bears.

October 2018

Daddy decided his goats needed something to play on so he built them this.  Also we plan on breeding them soon so it will be fun for all of their little ones come spring.

Cooper's class took a field trip to the Greensbridge Pumpkin Patch and we also went there as a family to pick out our pumpkins.

Each kiddo was allowed to pick one pumpkin to take home.  The only rule was they had to be able to carry it themselves.

Wyatt's class also took a trip to Greensbridge.

The slides are always a big hit when we come with Daddy.  Plus he makes getting up to the slide so much more fun!

Uncle Ryan cleared a bunch of trees on his property and we got to come over to watch them burn the some of the piles of left over limbs and to make smores.

The 3 bigger kids did a great job carving pumpkins this year.  They actually stuck with it and did a lot of it themselves for the first time.

As has become our tradition we walked the Kaufman's neighborhood on Halloween.  So fun to have family so close to do these kinds of things with.
