Great Grandparents

On Sunday this huge tree blew down at my families house in Oregon.  Thankfully no one was hurt but Ryan's truck has seen better days and we are all very sad for him. :(
Anyway, so my Grandparents are headed up to Oregon now so that my Grandpa can help oversee the construction that needs to be done to repair the roof and some windows in the house and we were thrilled that they were able to stop by to see us and meet Wyatt on their way.

Chimp and Squirt

For anyone who doesn't know I feel I need to make the disclaimer that Sadie is called "The Chimp" very affectionately by her father.  Although I will say she does live up to the name almost daily.

And so as not to leave out our newest member.  Wyatt has been learning how to focus more and how to smile.  His head is still a bit wobbly which adds to the cuteness and we didn't catch a great smile this time, but here he is so that you can see how he's growing and we'll get a better smile the next time. :)

The Chimp Speaks

Sadie has been learning to talk and has accumulated a dozen or so words of which she uses some correctly, some we're not sure, and all of them to crack us up.  So here's our list of the words she knows at 17 months: more, up, off, banana, bunny, bummer, ya, body, dada, mama, and baby.  She also knows some sound words which include, woof, moo, neigh, baa, vroom vroom, and meow, and while I know all of this is very interesting to you I'm sure it's much better to hear her say them than to read them so here you go.
P.S. This video is especially for you Miss Courtney! :)

Life's Been a Little Busy

So life with two little ones has been a bit busier than I had imagined.  Thus I haven't posted any pictures in over a month and my car rarely leaves my driveway.  However, I'm sure it will slow down eventually... right?  For now I'm thankful to be saving money on gas and my husband is thankful that I don't have time to go to the craft store anymore. :)  On a more serious note, I really am thankful for being able to be at home with my little ones and for all the family and friends who have been such a support to me.  We've had many visitors this past month, we've had at least a few meals brought to us every week by friends, and my husband has done more than his share around the house as I am continuing to figure out how to plan my day with two.

Anyway, so here's my abbreviated run down of what has happened since Wyatt was born
- Brandon had the week after Wyatt was born off of work and we were able to spend some great time together as a family.
- Brandon's Dad came down to visit.
- My mom arrived on the 31st and spent a week with us.
- Amy, Brian, and Payton came up to visit the first weekend in February.
- My brother Ryan came to visit at the end of February.
- Our good friends Dave and Andrea were in town this past week and we were thrilled to meet their little one Georgia and to have them meet our Wyatt.
